Givenchy’s Ever-Popular Bambi Sweatshirt Also Comes in Bag Form

As soon as Givenchy’s Bambi-print (or “deer print” – I’m pretty sure Disney doesn’t want Givenchy using their trademarked name, but I see what I see) sportswear hit the runways back in February, it was a foregone conclusion that, like the Givenchy Rottweiler before it, the pieces would become immediate favorites of industry folks and celebs alike and make an appearance in practically every street style picture for the next six months.

Anna Dello Russo gave the sought-after Bambi sweatshirt her seal of approval during Paris Fashion Week, and now the Givenchy Bambi Antigona Tote is here to satiate the handbag lovers.

Riccardo Tisci’s streetwear-meets-high-fashion prints have been fashion favorites for several seasons now, and this fusion of cartoons and high art is exactly the sort of high-low mash-up that’s made them so popular. It’s mass but it’s luxe, it’s girlish but it’s tough, it’s artsy but it’s not hard to understand. Givenchy’s cultural references tend to land directly in a sweet spot that makes them covetable to a wide variety of people of both genders, and this tote’s simple shape makes a ready canvas for the image, just like it did for the Rottweiler tote. While they’re still available, pick up yours for $1,085 via Net-a-Porter.
